New School Bus Policy Announced

The Daily Transportation Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that a new �Daily Transportation (Bus) Policy� is now in effect for the new school year and available for viewing online at www.kahnawake.com/bus .
The objective of the Policy is to outline the requirements for bus services provided by the MCK Daily Transportation Department, including but not limited to:
- Eligibility;
- Special Needs Students;
- Alternate Pick-up/Drop-off points;
- Student Safety;
- Expected Behavior;
- School Bus Rules, and;
- Infractions and Discipline.
�The Daily Transportation Department has been using an unwritten policy for several years. This is a written version that includes parent feedback,� said Rats�nhaienhs Lindsay LeBorgne, who holds the MCK Infrastructure Portfolio. "We conducted a parent survey earlier this year to gauge feedback on certain elements and the new policy closely reflects those results. The bottom line is we will continue to provide our children with safe and efficient transportation to and from school.�
