Fieldwork on Brown Snake in Kahnawake

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) wishes to inform the community about a collaboration with the Regional Environmental Council for Monteregie (RECM) to assess populations of Brown Snake in Kahnaw�:ke.

Three locations will be assessed, including Tekakwitha Island, along the Seaway Road, and within returned lands adjacent to Hwy 30.

Initial fieldwork will take place on Friday, August 30th, with return visits weekly until the end of October. A KEPO representative will accompany RECM staff at all times.
