By-Election called, Electoral Officer named

The Executive Office of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the Community that a By-Election has been called for the position of one (1) Rats�nhaienhs (also known as an Elected Council Chief) due to the recent resignation of Carl Horn. By process, a By-Election is required pursuant to section 34.1 of the Kahnaw�:ke Election Law.

The mandate of Angus L. Montour as Electoral Officer, along with that of Muriel White-Rice as the Assistant Electoral Officer, has been re-initiated for the upcoming By-Election

Mr. Montour and Ms. White-Rice conducted the 2018 General Election, as well as the By-Election in February of this year.
