Alwyn Park area water and sewer replacement begins

The Capital Unit of The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform all Kahnawa�kehr�:non that Phase 2 of the Alwyn Park Area water and sewer main replacement project will commence Thursday, September 26th, weather permitting.

Included in the construction is the removal of ACM (Asbestos Containing Material) Transite Pipe, which will be properly bagged, sealed and put into a special bin with a sign indicating what is inside the bin.



Upon completion of these works, the roadbase will be reconstructed and a new asphalt surface will be installed.

Homeowners will be temporarily supplied with an above-ground water distribution system and have access to sewer services at all times. Detours will be erected regarding road closures, however residents in the immediate work areas will have access to their homes.
