Grand Chief to meet with Chateauguay mayor today

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Chateauguay Mayor Pierre-Paul Routhier will meet with Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton today at the MCK offices.

Agenda items include the �Lot E� lands located on the Old Chateauguay Road at the border of the two communities, as well as Hydro poles in the same area. Because these items are land-related Rats�nhaienhs Clinton Phillips, who is the lead on the Lands & Territories Portfolio, will accompany Grand Chief Norton in this meeting. A general discussion is expected to take place after the two agenda items are concluded.

The Mayor and Grand Chief have either met or spoken on several occasions during Mr. Routhier�s first term in office.
