Grand Chief meets Provincial Seigneury Negotiator

Grand Chief Michael Ahr�hrhon Delisle, Jr. met for approximately three hours with Provincial Seigneury Negotiator John Parisella last evening in Montreal.

It was the first official meeting between the two since Mr. Parisella was appointed to his position by the Quebec government. It was originally scheduled for last week but had to be postponed due to traffic problems on the Mercier Bridge.

�As first meetings go, this was a good first step,� said Chief Delisle. �We didn�t talk specifics. This was a chance to talk face-to-face and get a sense of how we can begin to address our issues and solve our problems.�

Quebec Special Envoy to Kahnaw�:ke Geoff Kelley also participated in the meeting.
