Brush trimming work to continue along CP tracks

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community that work to trim brush and trees near the four (4) rail crossings on the CP Rail line are expected to resume tomorrow (Wednesday).

The work is necessary to bring the crossings into compliance with safety regulations and should be completed within ten (10) days.

The contractor, Asplundh, consists of a 10-person crew, five of whom are Mohawks working for Twin Cutters, a local company specializing in this type of work.

The work has been authorized by the COVID-19 Taskforce, as it is a matter of safety.
