Spring Clean-Up gets $1000 added prize donation for participants

In response to the modified Kahnaw�:ke Spring Clean-Up Challenge announced yesterday, the family of Frank & Donna McComber have generously donated an additional $1000 in Shop Kahnawake Gift Certificates for an additional 25 winners ($40 per family) making a total of 31 prizes.

The Kahnaw�:ke Waste Management Department would like to thank the McComber family for their generosity during this difficult time and hopes this entices more households to join in the Clean-up.

"It is important that people are helping out and keeping Kahnawake clean," said Frank McComber on behalf of his family.

Again, the Clean-Up is unique this year, and the rules are modified. It takes place until Friday, April 24th.

1. Choose an area of the Community to clean. No more than just your current household may clean one area together. Keep 2m (6 feet) away from all others while cleaning.

2. Register with Kahnaw�:ke Waste Management 450-632-4321 or wastemanagement@mck.ca

3. Send BEFORE & AFTER photos of your chosen area to the email above or post them on the Kahnawake Waste Management Facebook page (@recyclinginkahnawake) to be eligible.

4. 6 prizes of $50 and 25 prizes of $40 Shop Kahnawake Gift Certificates will be rewarded.
