KEPO 2020 Tree Giveaway Cancelled

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) would like to inform the community that they will not be hosting the annual Tree Giveaway this year. The supplier of the trees has chosen to cancel it for safety reasons related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the first time in over twenty years that KEPO has not offered free native saplings to community members. In recent years, Kahnawake has planted 1000-1500 trees per year through this event.

KEPO looks forward to continuing to offer this event to the community once it is safe to do so.
