Kahnawake Fire Brigade - Fire Risk now Low

The Kahnaw�:ke Fire Brigade (KFB) announced on May 22nd that the risk of fire in both Kahnaw�:ke and Tiower�:ton was extreme. Due to the lack of rain and warm/dry weather conditions. With the recent change in weather, the risk warning has now been set to Low for both locations.

However, the KFB still warns against burning brush and debris. Small campfires are allowed, but those who choose to do so should exercise extreme caution. Have a garden hose or a fire extinguisher handy and never leave a campfire unattended for any period of time. Also, please consider purchasing an outdoor fireplace with a spark arrestor.
