Community compost collection bins to be distributed

The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that compost bins will be distributed to people who are interested in participating in the community compost collection.

Waste Management is encouraging more community members to participate as there are many benefits to composting. Composting with the community compost collection program reduces landfill waste, helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, positively affects air quality and creates nutritious rich garden soil.

Waste Management will be set up at the Knights of Columbus Parking Lot from 8am � 1pm on Friday, July 10, 2020.

Safety precautions are set in place:

• One vehicle at a time.
• Social distancing required.
• Please do not attend if you are experiencing any symptoms.
