Groundbreaking for Sesame Park on Monday morning

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community that the ceremonial groundbreaking for the Sesame Park project will be held on Monday July 13th 2020 at 9am. Phase I of the project features construction of the first �sensory� playground in the community which, besides being enjoyable, will be especially therapeutic for children with special needs.

Other phases of the project to be completed later this summer into the fall include an 18-hole accessible mini putt course, an outdoor table tennis court and service building/washroom.

Funding for this project was provided by the MCK, Onkwata�karit�htshera, the Kateri Memorial Foundation, the Community Initiatives Fund, Kompan and Loisir et Sport Monteregie.

IMPORTANT: Please note that a mandatory Social Distancing of 2m (6.5 feet) will be required at all times for all persons attending the ceremony.
