Reminder � 30-day Feedback period for Cannabis Control Law regulations ends next Tuesday

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission wishes to remind the community that the 30-day Feedback period for the draft regulations for the Kahnaw�:ke Cannabis Control Law will conclude on Tuesday, November 10 at 4pm.

Upon completion, the Cannabis Control Board will review and analyze the feedback received.

The regulations are a necessary component to the implementation of the Law, which was enacted on December 10, 2018 as a means to protect the health and safety of the community, to protect the youth by restricting their access and exposure to cannabis and cannabis by-products, and to deter illicit and illegal activities in relation to cannabis on the Territory.

The draft regulations can be viewed at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions.com. Please note that the separate 30-day Feedback period for the draft Regulation Concerning prices, Royalties and Contributions will end on Friday, November 20, 2020.
