Iroquois Caucus in Kahnaw�:ke for Two Days

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke is announcing that there will be a meeting of the Iroquois Caucus this Wednesday and Thursday, 24-25 Seskehk�:wa/September. The gathering will take place in Kahnaw�:ke at the Five Nations Banquet Hall on Highway 132.

Agenda items include land claims/grievances; tobacco; border crossing developments; education cutbacks; and Canada�s proposed Matrimonial Real Property Law.

Council Chiefs and technicians from Akwesasne, Tyendinaga, Six Nations, Kanesatake, Oneida of the Thames, Wahta and Kahnaw�:ke are expected to be in attendance.

The meetings are scheduled from 9am to 4pm. Community members are welcome to attend as observers.
