One Household at a time for Outdoor Rinks

The Kahnaw�:ke COVID-19 Task Force wish to advise the community that new measures are being undertaken regarding outdoor rinks. In an effort to ensure that the rinks continue to operate safely, the following measures are now in effect:

• Rink surface use must be limited to one (1) household at a time. Signs will be posted at public rinks to that effect
• The Sports & Recreation Unit will implement an hourly sign-up schedule to ensure fair usage
• The rinks will be more closely monitored to ensure compliance

The reason for this action is a direct result of persons failing to respect distancing or masking requirements.

It is important to note that cold weather does not reduce the spread of the virus. Due to the current emergency situation every measure must be taken to reduce risks to the community.

Please note that privately-owned �family� rinks must also be restricted to one (1) household at a time.
