Vaccines for Independent Living Center - Elders Lodge quarantine lifted

The Kahnaw�:ke COVID-19 Task Force is pleased to inform the community that Vaccinations took place today at the Independent Living Center. Eleven (11) residents were scheduled to receive the vaccine.

Please note that Vaccinations for the general Kahnaw�:ke population are expected to be announced in the near future. The Mohawk Bingo Hall has been secured as the site where this will take place.

Additionally, the Task Force has been informed that the quarantine/self-isolation period in place at the Turtle Bay Elders Lodge has now been lifted. This directive had been in place since New Year�s Eve when an outbreak was declared when two staff members tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Protocols and procedures were immediately put in place in an effort to limit the spread of the virus within the facility.
