MCK Housing to resume normal payment scheduled for all approved winter deferrals

The Housing Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community of updates to the payment schedules for some of its clients.

Due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Housing Unit was able to implement winter deferred payment agreements with a number of clients as a means to assist and support community members through a difficult and challenging time. However, with many community members having now returned to work, the normal payment schedules will resume effective March 1, 2021.

Letters will be sent to those clients affected. The Housing Unit staff will follow up with telephone calls to offer assistance or additional information. If clients have specific circumstances impacting their files, these will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
