Tioweroton Cabin Ownership Procedure

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wish to inform the community that the Tiower�:ton Caretakers have noticed signs being erected claiming sites for cabin construction that have not gone through the proper cabin construction application process. 

For building or purchasing cabins, community members must apply with the Lands Unit and adhere to the cabin ownership procedure. Community members who have erected signs will be informed of the process in place. In the meantime, the signs will be removed.

Also, a date will be released shortly as to when Caretakers will begin meeting with community members to complete their cabin construction checklist, as the ground is still too soft. Please note that it will be by appointment only.
