Bell Tower Installation

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that work on Phase II of the Bell Mobility tower installation is currently underway.

A service building is being constructed on the south side of the main MCK building to house wiring and equipment pertinent to operation of the tower. Works include site excavation, installation of a concrete foundation and assembly of the service building.

Completion of construction and full operation of the Bell Mobility tower is tentatively slated for mid-November. Bell Mobility customers should then benefit from better cell phone reception in the center of Kahnawà:ke.

Phase I took place in early September and saw the actual tower mounted to the roof of the MCK main building.

There are currently two other Bell Mobility towers located on the Territory: one by the Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex and one by the Kahnawà:ke Survival School.
