Chiefs Out of Office

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that several chiefs are out the office today.

Chiefs Mike Bush, Martin Leborgne and Johnny Montour are in Akwesasne today to participate in a meeting regarding Matrimonial Real Property which is being proposed for passage into Canadian Law. The MCK, along with other member communities of the Iroquois Caucus, are against the proposed law. The chiefs will return to the office tomorrow.

Chief Marvin (Melvin) Zacharie is in Kingston, Ontario, to participate in the Canadian Forces Aboriginal Forum. He will be back in the office on Monday.

Finally, Chief Kenneth McComber will be out of the office tomorrow (Friday) to attend the Commission de la Construction du Qu�bec (CCQ) Funding Training Institute. He will be back in the office on Monday.
