May is Compost Awareness Month

The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that May is Compost Awareness Month.

Information on composting will be made available all month long on Facebook @recyclinginkahnawake, and for those still interested in taking part in the Community Compost Collection, Waste Management will be set up twice this month at the Knights of Columbus with information and compost bins (dates to be announced).

The Waste Management team is also pleased to announce that it has teamed up with Compost Council of Canada and Tsi niionkwarih�:ten tsitewah�hara�n Center this year in translating the compost poster (click here to view).
