Water mains flushing begins May 10th

The Public Works Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that crews will
be conducting Unidirectional Flushing of the water distribution system beginning on Monday, May 10th, weather permitting. The work is expected to last about a month.

Unidirectional Flushing is the process of cleaning the water system by flowing water in one direction through the mains. This is accomplished by closing specified valves and by flushing strategically located hydrants.
