Fieldwork for Bat Survey

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) would like to inform the community that we will be conducting a bat survey on various dates from June 17th through September 2021.

KEPO employees with members of Englobe Corp. will be installing two (2) stationary listening devices as well as conducting mobile listening surveys on the North Wall.

The surveys are used to verify the presence/absence of various bat species known to this region, locate suitable bat habitats, and identify areas highly frequented by bats.

This is KEPO�s first year participating in the survey, and we look forward to reporting our findings back to the community.
