Important Safety Notice regarding Mohawk Miles

The Public Safety Division of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community to be aware that the 36th Annual Mohawk Miles will take place this Saturday afternoon/evening in the area along River Road between the St. Francis Xavier Church and the Turtle Bay Elders Lodge.

This year�s Mohawk Miles will run from 3:30pm to approximately 9pm. No roads will be closed, so community members should exercise extreme caution when driving in these areas. The Peacekeepers will be assisting, and the route will be clearly marked.

Depending on the length of each individual race, routes will differ; however, all will start at the Youth Center, turn to the Recreation Path behind the Church, and continue towards the Hospital Ballfield. The longer races will use the Recreation Path in the direction of the Elders Lodge. All races will return to the finish line at the Youth Center via River Road. The race routes can be viewed here.
