CP Rail Emergency Repairs tomorrow

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform the community that Canadian Pacific (CP) Rail will be performing emergency repairs to the tracks at the Hawk Avenue level crossing (first crossing after Clay Mountains - pictured below) tomorrow, Saturday, October 2nd, from 6am until 2pm.

Residents on the south side of the crossing are asked to park their vehicles on the north side of the crossing tonight (Friday).  An on-demand taxi will be available to move community members from their homes to the crossing and their vehicles. CP will assist community members to safely cross the tracks.

In case of an emergency, arrangements are in place for emergency vehicles to cross. Please call the Mohawk Peacekeeper dispatch at 450-632-6505 in an emergency situation.

Residents affected by the closure will be provided information at their door.
