Important Notice, especially to hunters, regarding KEPO fieldwork at Big Fence

The Kahnaw�:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) would like to inform the community that waterfowl inventories will be continuing in the Big Fence area this Wednesday, October 20th as part of their project to assess the ecological integrity of these lands. KEPO staff, along with a consultant, will be present throughout each day, beginning at 7am. This work was postponed from last week.

KEPO understands that community members may be in the area for hunting purposes during this time. All participants will be wearing high-visibility clothing, and we would ask that community members be aware of the fieldwork that is taking place and use appropriate caution.

For ultimate safety, it is requested that hunting be halted for this day.
