Investigation on Fr Lajoie allegations completed with Executive Summary forthcoming

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the investigation into allegations of sexual abuse against the late Fr. Leon Lajoie has been completed.

The investigation was conducted by Mr. Brian King of the King International Advisory Group, a well-known investigation, intelligence and enterprise risk management consulting agency. The independent firm was appointed and funded by the Jesuit Order of Canada.

A copy of the executive summary of the report has been provided to the Council of Chiefs. The executive summary will be made available for community viewing at www.kahnawake.com/Lajoie later this week.

Mr. King will record a presentation on the executive summary, which will be made available for local broadcast on the community channel (PaulComm).
