Walk-ins Welcome for New Status Card Registration

The Social Development Unit is pleased to announce that Walk-ins will be welcome as appointments for early registration for the new Secure Certificate of Indian Status continue until the end of this week (February 27th).

Registrations are taking place in the Community Room at the Kahnaw�:ke Peacekeeper Station from 9am to 4:30pm until Thursday and 9am to noon on Friday. Applications should be completed prior to your appointment and supported by a birth certificate (if born in the province of Quebec, only certificates issued on or after January 1, 1994 by the Civil Code will be accepted) along with two pieces of photo ID.

A second session of registrations will take from March 16th- 21st and March 23rd � 26th. More information will be released before those sessions begin.
