The Mohawk Council of Kahnawá:ke wishes to inform the public that the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) and the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) will be closing the access ramps to and from route 132 from Friday May 29th in the evening to Monday June 1st in the morning.

In the first phase of work, the 132 access up-ramp will be completely closed from 10pm on Friday, May 29th until 10pm on Saturday, May 30th. In addition, the left lane of the 132 down-ramp will also be closed.

The second phase will see the complete closure of the 132 down-ramp from 10pm on Saturday, May 30th, until 5am on Monday, June 1st. In addition, the left lane of the 132 access up-ramp will be closed. Road signs will inform motorists of alternate routes to be used.

During the first phase, motorists coming from route 132 will use the connecting road under the bridge to access the route 207 turnaround allowing them Montreal-bound access to the bridge.

(See PDF for map)

During the second phase, motorists will be re-routed to the 138 down-ramp towards Châteauguay, and head towards La Prairie using the route 207 turnaround which will take them back in the opposite direction towards La Prairie.

This site work is part of the Mercier Bridge rehabilitation project. It will enable the installation of work platforms under the access ramp.

IMPORTANT - Please note that the overhead clearance under ramp 4 will decrease to 3.9 meters starting at 10pm on Saturday, May 30th. For the next several months, trucks that are higher than the overhead clearance will have to use the recommended alternate route namely by route 138 and the route 207 exit.
