Old Malone Road Closure Postponed

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform all Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the road closure on the Old Malone Highway in front of the Canadian Pacific Railway Tunnel, originally scheduled for today, has been postponed until Friday, June 19th from 7am to 3:30pm, weather permitting. (see map below)

Capital Construction crews will be repairing the water main on the Old Malone Highway. The Capital Unit is asking all residents east of the tunnel, that are on the centralized water system, to conserve water by not filling swimming pools or watering lawns during this time.

Proper signalization will be erected delimiting the work zone and detours will be clearly marked to allow for safe alternate routes.
