Written Judgment Release by Court

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that it has received the official written judgment from the Court of Kahnaw�:ke pertaining to the 2009 MCK Elections and the eligibility of Kaniatariio Gilbert.

Gilbert�s eligibility to run for Council Chief was called into question after an official complaint was registered with the Court of Kahnaw�:ke by a community member, citing a portion of the Kahnaw�:ke Election Law which states a nominee must be a �usual resident� of Kahnaw�:ke.
