MCK, Myiow Set for Mediation

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that the MCK will appear at the Federal Court building this week for the purposes of mediation in regard to an issue with Mr. Keith Myiow.

The Notice of Motion filed in the Federal Court by Mr. Myiow against Chief & Council (and others), originally scheduled to be heard on 27 Ohiari�k�:wa/July, was delayed to Thursday and Friday, 27-28 Sesk�ha/August. All parties and their counsel have agreed to be present for a mediation, to be held in Montreal.

�We are quite hopeful that, in the spirit of mediation, the Judge will direct this issue back to Kahnaw�:ke,� said Grand Chief Michael Ahr�hrhon Delisle, Jr. �The matter is one that must be settled within our Territory � not the Federal Court.�
