Feasibility Study of Tiower�:ton Maple Syrup Operation, Supported

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke is pleased to announce the results of a recent survey regarding support of a feasibility study on a possible project in Tiower�:ton Territory.The survey question asked �Do you agree with having a Feasibility Study done in the Territory of Tiower�:ton on a Maple Syrup Operation?�A total of 84 surveys were completed with seventy eight (78) supporting and six (6) non-supporting respondents. The feasibility study will be carried out in upcoming weeks and the findings will be reported to the community. �We are pleased with the results� said Interim Tiower�:ton Coordinator Mia Phillips. �If a maple syrup operation is found to be feasible, we will seek the approval of the community prior to proceeding with the operation.�Further information is available by contacting the Interim Tiower�:ton Coordinator at the Lands Unit at 450 638 8244.
