Chief & Council Pass Drug Test

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that all twelve elected Council Chiefs have passed a drug test that was administered on 21, Seskehk�:wa/September by Medisys Health Group, an independent company hired for the purpose.

The Drug Profile Five test was performed on-site (at the MCK) by a registered nurse. It consisted of a urine sample taken from each individual and tested for the following: amphetamines, cannabinoids, cocaine, barbiturates and opiates.

Test results were received by James Jacobs, the MCK�s Director of Human Resources and forwarded to Chief & Council.

This is the third consecutive term in which Council chiefs have been subjected to a drug test. In 2004 and 2006, no chiefs tested positive.
