Old Fort Wall Safety Concerns

The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that work crews will be removing a section of the Old Fort Wall for safety concerns. Work will commence at 7am on Wednesday, October 28th.

Crews will remove approximately 10 feet of the eastern side of the wall adjacent to the Council Office Road. The wall has been inspected by the Community Protection Unit Safety Inspector and the MCK Buildings Manager and deemed unsafe due to pedestrian traffic in the area and its close proximity to a nearby home.
