MCK Accepts Vision Committee Final Report

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that it has formally accepted the Vision Committee�s Final Report and the recommendations included within. The Report was presented to Chief & Council on Monday, 7 Tsoth�hrha/December.

The Report includes the Community Vision Statement, which reflects the vision of the community twenty years into the future. It is available for viewing at www.kahnawake.com/visioning.

Strategic discussions will begin shortly to determine future action steps.

The MCK would like to thank and congratulate all who participated throughout the process: those who wrote essays, those who completed the surveys/questionnaires, and those who participated in the three Visioning sessions and final validation/confirmation session held in Kentenhk�:wa/November.

The MCK would also like to thank the Visioning Committee for its hard work. The Committee consisted of Alex McComber, Treena Delormier, Connie Meloche, Davis Rice and Tonia Williams, along with the late Jesse Tewenrate Deer, who participated as the Youth Intern.
