MCK to take action on non-Natives living on the Territory

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that it will begin taking action on issues regarding non-Natives residing on the Territory.

Beginning last year over 100 Kahnawa�kehr�:non have contacted the MCK and/or the Membership Department by mail, telephone and e-mail to complain about people living on the Territory who have no right to do so.

An announcement will be made before the end of this week regarding some of the specific actions that will be taken

The MCK wishes to inform the community that Chief & Council has made a firm commitment to meet on a regular and on-going basis to discuss, deliberate and strategize on issues relating to membership and its effects on our community.
