MCK issues advisory to Community on Kahnawake Power Draw

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke (MCK) has been advised that Mr. Peter Ilias, the promoter of the “Kahnawake Power Draw” lottery, failed to show up to reimburse people who purchased tickets. According to Kahnawakenews.com, Mr. Ilias said he would be available to provide refunds yesterday (Wednesday, 20 Tsothohrkó:wa/ January) at the 207 Restaurant.

Therefore, the MCK is advising community members who have not been reimbursed to file a complaint/report with the Kahnawą:ke Peacekeepers.

The MCK will continue to monitor this situation and provide information as the situation warrants.
