The Capital Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke would like to notify the Community that phase 2 of the milling and resurfacing works on Route 132/138 will begin tonight at 8pm in the area leading up to the Mercier Bridge (see map).

The works will be carried out at night to minimize inconvenience to Community members and businesses. Working hours are Sunday to Wednesday from 8pm to 4:30am and Thursday from 9pm to 4:30am. The work is expected to be completed by early November, weather permitting.

The roadway in the scheduled sub-phase will be closed to regular traffic during working hours. Alternative routes will be maintained to accommodate regular traffic. Proper signalization will be placed to ensure everyone’s safety.

The works will be undertaken in four sub-phases (phase 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) in an effort to localize and minimize any impacts. For more information on the sub-phases please refer to the map above.

Your patience throughout this project is greatly appreciated and we apologize for the temporary inconvenience. If further information is required, please contact the Technical Services Office at (450) 635-1016.
