New date for Election Law Final Reading, date announced for Tobacco Law meeting

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to inform the community that the date for the Final Reading of the amendments to the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Election Law has been changed to Thursday, 26 Enníska/February 2015. The Reading is scheduled for 6pm at the Golden Age Club. Community members are invited to attend.
Additionally, the KLCC wishes to announce that the Community Consultation for the proposed Kahnawà:ke Tobacco Law has been scheduled for Tuesday, 10 Enníska/ February 2015 at 6pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The community will be asked to:
- approve the urgency of the law
- give the mandate to move the law forward using the Community Decision Making Process
Those wishing to attend either meeting are asked to read the pertinent documents, which are available for viewing at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions
