Reminder of Complete Montreal-bound closure of Mercier Bridge overnight Saturday - View PDF

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to remind road users that the Ministère des Transport du Quebec will completely close the Montreal-bound direction of the Mercier Bridge from Saturday, June 27th (tomorrow) at 11:59pm until Sunday, June 28th at 1pm, weather permitting.

During this time there will be NO MONTREAL-BOUND access and only one Kahnawà:ke-bound lane available.

The closure is necessary to carry out concrete work to connect the Monette Overpass to the Mercier Bridge, located on the shore of Lasalle.

Upon completion of the closure, motorists are reminded that the Blitz configuration will carry on as follows:

-    There will be one lane available in each direction;
-    The Montreal-bound 138 up-ramp from Chateauguay will be closed, with a detour to the 132 up-ramp via the 132 to 138 service road;
-    The 132 to 138 service road will be detoured towards the Old Malone Highway; and
-    Extension of existing bus lane to allow priority during morning rush hour.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
