The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission wishes to remind the community that the next meeting on proposed amendments to the Kahnawà:ke Membership Law will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.
It is scheduled from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The agenda will include Sections 8, 9 and 10. Should time permit, discussion could begin on Section 11. The Sections are as follows:
8. Kanien’keháka Registry Advisory Board (the new section regarding community advisory to the Registrar) 9. Review of Registrar’s Decision (proposal for three new levels to appeal Registrar’s decision) 10. Membership Review Council (to be used until implementation of Kahnawà:ke Justice Act) 11. Verification of Recognition the criteria for determining who can be a future automatic member – time permitting)
