The Housing Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is now accepting applicants for the Rent to Equity Housing Program. The program allows participants to rent a three (3) bedroom home while saving for a mortgage down payment for future home ownership.

The program is intended for lower-to-middle income Kahnawa’kehró:non who might otherwise find it impossible to make the necessary down payment on a mortgage loan. A hallmark of the program is having the MCK match up to 50% of the participant savings contribution towards a down payment.

Certain conditions apply. Interested Community members are urged to find out full details by contacting Social Housing Administrator Leah Horn or Client Information Administrator Reva D’Ailleboust at the MCK Housing Department at 450-638-0500
