The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated that work to remove platforms and equipment from under the Mercier Bridge will require a temporary disruption to Hydro service for nearby residents.

The work, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 29th, will impact Hydro customers in the area of the CP Rail Tunnel and the road adjacent to the Kanawaki Golf Course, between 8:30am and 12pm.

This temporary Hydro service interruption is required for reasons of safety, as crews from the Mohawk Bridge Consortium (MBC) remove suspended platforms and equipment. Area residents will be advised by MBC via hand-delivered notices to those affected by the works.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
