Reminder: Mercier Bridge weekend closures

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform all Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated and the Minist�re des Transports du Qu�bec will completely close the Kahnaw�:ke-bound lanes of the Mercier Bridge to traffic on July 16-19, July 23-26, and August 6-9.

Traffic will be re-directed to one lane in each direction on the Montreal-bound side of the bridge (see map below) starting tonight (Friday) at 10pm until Monday at 5am. For the following weekends the closures will begin on Friday at 11:59pm until Monday at 5am. Please note that the Airlie entrance ramp will also be closed during the work periods.

These closures will allow for important repairs to be made to the deck, as well as the reinforcement of the steel structure. The flow of traffic will be very slow during these three weekends and motorists are encouraged to avoid using the Mercier Bridge during these periods.
