The Human Resources Unit handles staffing and recruitment for all departments within the operations of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawá:ke. One of the tools used to accomplish this task is the posting of available employment opportunities.

Compliance Officer, Kahnawake Gaming Commission

Deadline to apply: Monday, August 9, 2010 - 4pm

Duration: 12-Month Fixed-Term (Contract), Full-Time Position, 9 Month Probation Period

Salary: $931.7825 Per Week

Special Requirements: The successful candidate must possess a valid Driver’s License and have access to a vehicle with adequate insurance coverage for inspection purposes.

Physical Education Teacher (Karonhianonhnha School), Kahnawake Education Center

Deadline to apply: Monday, August 16, 2010 - 12pm

A Full-Time Physical Education Teacher (Elementary Level) is required for the 2010-2011 School Year.

Salary: $931.7825 Per Week

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor of Education with certification to teach the above with practical teaching experience; or Teaching Certificate or a combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills and attitudes for successful performance would be required for this position.

CPR and First Aid Certification mandatory

Although fluent Kanien’keha language skills are a definite asset, applicants with a functional level of fluency will be considered.
