Community Members honored for their roles in Kahnaw�:ke Sports

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) announced the names of a group of community members who were honored today at a ceremony held at the Sports Complex.

Those being honored have been recognized for their contributions to sports in the community. Commemorative plaques were unveiled at the ceremony and will be installed at the Sports Complex shortly.

The names of those honored are as follows: Todd Diabo; Joel Montour; Jesse Deer; Peter B. Deere; Francis White; Davey Diabo; Sharon Rice; Frank �Putsky� Rice; Ron Kirby; Charlie Patton; Josie McGregor; Dave Canadian.

Additionally, the committee that organized the building of the Sports Complex will be honored as a group.

�Whether they were organizers, participants, coaches or promoters, these people have made a difference in Kahnaw�:ke,� said sports portfolio chief Carl Horn
