Mercier Bridge: Traffic reconfiguration due to Kahnaw�:ke-bound closure

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to inform road users that, as reported earlier, the Minist�re de Transport du Quebec (MTQ) has completely shut down the Kahnaw�:ke-bound side of the Mercier Bridge in order to replace 10 gusset plates. Therefore, the Montreal-bound lanes have been designated to accommodate all traffic in both directions.

The following schedule has been put in place for Weekday traffic configuration until further notice:

�    1pm - Midnight: Both lanes in the Kahnaw�:ke-bound direction ONLY.
�    Midnight - 1am: Complete stoppage of traffic to reconfigure for direction change.
�    1am � Noon: Both lanes in the Montreal-bound direction ONLY.
�    Noon � 1pm: Complete stoppage of traffic to reconfigure for direction change. 
�    Weekends: From Friday midnight to Sunday midnight one lane in each direction will be available.

This schedule is expected to remain in effect Monday to Friday until September but is subject to change as the MTQ studies traffic patterns.
