MCK appoints investigator in complaints case

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke is informing the community that an Executive Directive was signed on 6 Seskehk�:wa/September to appoint Lysane Cree, Legal Counsel, to investigate formal complaints made against Chief Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer.

Several complaints have been made against Chief Sky-Deer by the same person.

According to the terms indicated in the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Disciplinary Measures, Ms. Cree must present her findings and recommendations to Chief & Council within thirty (30) days of her appointment. The contract for her services was signed 6, Seskehk�:wa/September, 2011.

Ms. Cree, who is from Kanehsat�:ke, works for Hutchins Caron et Associ�s. She was called to the Bar in 2003.
