Update on Gaming Project Technical Survey

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that it will utilize a new schedule regarding the Gaming Project Technical Survey.

According to the original presentation a Technical Survey, which will consist of a professionally conducted telephone survey, would take place this month. However, this will be rescheduled for Enn�ska/February 2012.

As there are three preliminary Gaming Reports being prepared by the Innovation Group (market assessment study, social impact study, economic impact study), it became clear that it would be preferable for the community to have more information beforehand in order for the survey to be most effective.

Additionally, the market assessment study report (the first of the three) has not yet been presented to Chief & Council. The information contained in this report, as well as the recommendations of the Gaming Project Team, will determine whether Chief & Council decides to continue to move forward with the other two Gaming Reports.
